Write a family history, write a personal history.
Write an autobiography, write a biography.
Write a memoir, write a life story.

It doesn’t matter what you call it.
It matters only that you write it—your remembrances, your recollections,
your reminiscences may be the most important thing you leave behind!

We’ve all read the memoirs of “great” people.
But at one time or another, we’ve all had memories . . . stories . . . tragedies . . . insights—
life lessons of our own that we wanted to share
because we are all great people in our own places.
Yes, we’ve all been a part of making the past the present,
of making history.

  AnEditorForMemories
is just what you need for sharing your life with others.

If you know what remembrance you want to get across,
but you just need someone to help you put it into written words,
you might just need   AnEditorForMemories.

you give me your hand-written notes until the time your thoughts

to make certain that the readers you want to aim for
are the readers who get your message.

All you have to do is talk to me  . . .   AnEditorForMemories
is here to help with the rest!

I have been helping write memories for nearly twenty years,
first in the form of oral histories during my years as staff researcher
and publications director for the Montgomery County Historical Society in Dayton, Ohio.
I became even more involved with the craft when I moved south and became a
general editor with the North Carolina Museum of History in Raleigh, North Carolina.
I refined my skills as project editor, text editor, and design editor of
Tar Heel Junior Historian magazine, a history magazine for
the schoolchildren of North Carolina.   Some of the projects I have helped
guide have been published as books, magazine articles, and even museum labels.
Others have led to the creation of study guides for visitors at museums and
historic sites as well as lesson plans, audiovisual scripts,
classroom discussion guides, and teaching activities for classrooms.
